Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport crowned World's Most Punctual

Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) was recently awarded the coveted title of the World's Most Punctual Airport: boasting an on-time performance rate of 88.23 percent, the airport eclipsed even major international hubs.

This achievement, recognised by Cirium Diio, a leading aviation analytics firm, underscores the Kingdom's dedication to providing seamless travel experience, and implementing the most modern technology and systems to ensure passengers travelling to and from Saudi Arabia have the most positive experience possible.

Following closely behind were Oslo Airport Gardermoen (Norway) at 87.97 percent and Jorge Chavez International Airport (Peru) at 86.86 percent. Other airports achieving high on-time performance include Tokyo's Haneda Airport, Chile's Arturo Merino Benitez Airport, and Brazil's Sao Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport.

Cirium Diio's ranking is based on in-depth flight data analysis, giving passengers peace of mind with accurate and timely flight information. This punctuality translates to efficient journeys and travel for passengers, whilst also ensuring airlines are not subject to hefty delay fines and claims.

This international recognition and award aligns with the goals of Saudi's forward-thinking plan of Vision 2030, as the Kingdom looks to grow and diversify it's economy specifically through tourism. The extension of last year's Riyadh Season, large scale events and general intrigue of destinations such as AlUla and the new Red Sea region saw more than 100 million international tourists visit the nation. Whilst the Kingdom's ambitious future plans for Riyadh Expo 2030 and potentially hosting the World Cup 2034 are set to increase the number of international visitors to the Kingdom.
