Saudia places in top ten of World's Best First Class Airlines
Saudia, formerly known as Saudi Arabian Airlines, is the national carrier of Saudi Arabia.
This week it was announced that the seasoned airline has been named on the Skytrax list of the World's Best First Class Airlines.
Skytrax is a major aviation ranking organisation, and this week it unveiled its annual list of the World's Best First Class Airlines. This prestigious recognition is coveted by airlines, and it highlights airlines' exceptional service, luxurious amenities, and an unforgettable flying experience for premium passengers.

What to expect from Saudia's First Class
Saudia has placed at an impressive 8th place on Skytrax's list of the World's Best First Class Airlines. On this recently released list, the Kingdom's national airline has come in ahead of both regional and international players in the industry, such as British Airways, Qantas, Etihad and Cathay Pacific.
Embracing its Saudi Arabian heritage, Saudia offers First Class passengers a selection of fresh fruit juices and a refreshing towel whilst they await take off, and shortly after take off, air stewards offer cardamom-flavoured Arabic coffee alongside succulent Saudi dates, a traditional welcome.
Renowned for its goal of providing unparalleled comfort on board, Saudia's First Class seating areas are spacious, with the ability to recline seats into a full laydown position (on selected aircraft) ensuring a restful journey. With fully electronic controls, an adjustable footrest, and a plush headrest, each seating arrangement is customisable for each travellers' individual needs.
Some configurations also allow for the ultimate in privacy, as the airline has introduced First Class Suites. Each seat comes with ample room and floor space, and has floor to ceiling walls which can. be closed after take off for privacy or as you sleep.
Top of the range high-tech in-flight audio and video entertainment options are provided to all classes, with a slightly larger, HD screen provided to First Class passengers. Aiming for (and achieving) culinary excellence in the sky, Saudia's First Class dining experience has been ranked in the top 10 of international airlines by Skytrax. In the FIst Class cabin, meals are served on fine china with silverware, and the airline offers a selection of multinational menus offer an enticing array of Arabic specialties, Western classics, a taste of your destination country, and of course, a dedicated vegetarian option.
For long haul flights, First Class passengers are provided with sleepwear or pyjamas, and on all flights they will receive an onboard amenities kit. Although the colourways differ, both men and women are provided with a luxury amenities kit which includes an eyemask and socks, provided in collaboration with Missoni and the kit also includes skincare and fragrances from high-end Norweigan brand, Sprekenhus.
