British Airways resumes a significant London to Saudi route

The Kingdom has long had strong links with the United Kingdom, and now British Airways will further solidify this relationship with the reintroduction of a direct flight route between London and Jeddah.

This marks British Airways' second direct flight connection between London and the Kingdom, with the Riyadh to Heathrow route also resuming operations earlier this month, ahead of the busy summer months.

And after an extended hiatus, the London Heathrow to Jeddah flight has been confirmed to be reintroduced this winter.

Its been five years since the British Airways London Heathrow to Jeddah flight route was suspended, and now the route is slated to return to the skies from November 4, 2024.

Ideal for those planning a European winter escape, the airline has introduced a special round-trip fare, starting at SAR 1,905 for Economy Class and SAR 16,079 for Business Class, but you have to be quick, as these rates are only applicable to flights booked before June 5.

From November, this London-Jeddah route will operate four flights per week, all year around. The flights will be serviced by British Airway's Boeing 787 fleet, departing from Jeddah at 07:55 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and arriving at Heathrow at 11:45.

On the return journey to Jeddah, the service will operate overnight from Heathrow, departing at 20:10 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and arriving at 05:30 the following day.

This year to celebrate Eid, British Airways served a specially curated in-flight menu of Arab and Levantine delights, including Lamb Ouzi, Kunafeh, Mahalabia, and syrup-soaked baklava, on all long and short-haul flight routes.
