Announced to take place in Jeddah from January 25 to May 25 2025, the highly anticipated second edition Islamic Arts Biennale will pivot on the captivating exploration of Islamic art's rich legacy and vibrant contemporary expressions.

Building upon the success of the inaugural edition in 2023, the 2025 Islamic Biennale is set to delve deeper into the artistic heritage of the Islamic world. The 2023 edition was unexpectedly extended due to its popularity, and the 2025 edition has already been lengthened to allow for this also.
Set to take place, once again, in the impressive Western Hajj Terminal at Jeddah's King Abdulaziz Airport, the artistic hub was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in 1981, and has become is a venue synonymous with the of celebration of Islamic art and culture.

Visitors can expect a fascinating curated exhibition, showcasing a dialogue between historical artifacts and groundbreaking works by modern artists. Five captivating galleries will house these treasures, offering a comprehensive journey for visitors through various forms of Islamic art; from intricate calligraphy to awe-inspiring architecture.
Beyond the curated exhibits, the Islamic Biennale will also feature a dedicated space for the cities of Makkah and Madinah, two of Islam's holiest sites. Through captivating displays, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the artistic traditions that have shaped these sacred spaces.
The 2025 Islamic Arts Biennale isn't just about showcasing the past; it's a platform for artistic innovation. A new highlight this year is the AlMusalla Prize, an architecture competition inviting designers to create a sustainable and versatile prayer space (musalla). This initiative reflects the Biennale's commitment to fostering contemporary Islamic art expressions that remain rooted in tradition.
