Just weeks after Usyk was declared the Heavyweight Champion of the World, the date for a rematch has been set and the title will go up for grabs again

Ready, set, rematch. Fury and Usyk will go glove-to-glove once again this December.
Firmly on the global sporting radar, Saudi Arabia is quickly becoming a premier destination for sporting events, and more specifically combat sport; the Kingdom has hosted everything from intense wrestling events and high-octane MMA cage fights and iconic boxing bouts.
Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), has played a significant role in the development and production of this season's sporting events, including numerous football matches, tennis tournaments, and the many boxing bouts which have been held at the purpose-built Kingdom Arena stadium in the Kingdom's capital.
It was Alalshikh who announced this week, that Fury and Usyk would meet once again in a highly anticipated rematch which has been scheduled for December 21 of this year.
This match is set to coincide with the new celebratory period of Riyadh Season 2024-2025, and so, the title of Heavyweight Champion of the World will officially be up for grabs once again.
May's Undisputed: Ring of Fire boxing match between Riyadh ring regular Tyson Fury, and Ukranian Oleksandr Usyk, resulted in Fury's first title bout loss, but marked another notch in the belt of consistent wins for Usyk.
Usyk was declared winner by judge's decision after an intense nine rounds, including a significant stumble from Fury. In the end it was 37-year old Usyk who became the first undisputed champion of four belts including WBC, WBA, WBO and IFF categories. The Ukrainian has won all 22 of his professional fights.

Within minutes of Usyk being declared the winner of the Heavyweight Champion of the World, the formerly undefeated Fury called for a rematch.
