3 direct weekly flights will link Riyadh and Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific

This October, Cathay Pacific will introduce three weekly flights between the capital city of Riyadh and Hong Kong.

Cathay Pacific has firmly established itself as a major international airline and is known for its premium service and focus on connective Asia-Pacific routes.

The announcement of the new route was marked by a signing ceremony held in Hong Kong. Meeting with Saudi Air Connectivity Program Chief Executive Officer Majid Khan, it was during this press event that Cathay Group Chief Executive Officer Ronald Lam expressed his enthusiasm about the flight route, highlighting its potential to strengthen connectivity and enhance trade opportunities. He stated, "We are excited to announce the launch of flights connecting Hong Kong and Riyadh this October, which will further strengthen our network in the Middle East and enhance Hong Kong's connectivity with this important region."

A Significant Route

The route is an exciting new flight addition to the weekly roster at Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport, and is set to be ideal for both business and leisure travellers seeking convenient connections between the Middle East and Asia, as these flights will be direct.

These brand new, direct connecting routes will begin from October 28 of this year, and will operate every Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

This new route signifies a significant development in Cathay Pacific's network expansion within the Middle East region. The direct flights will provide passengers with a faster and more seamless travel experience between these two vibrant destinations.

Enhanced Connectivity and Opportunities

The Riyadh-Hong Kong route is expected to cater to a diverse range of travellers.

Business professionals can leverage the convenient schedule for efficient travel between the financial hubs of Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong. Whilst tourists will have the opportunity to explore the rich cultural tapestry of both cities with greater ease.
